Shiba Aikune XP3, I am Ready and the Imperial Favour

L5R CCG Rules board, 20 November 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Shiba Aikune's traits state that if he is at home or is the only personality at a battlefield, other player's card effects cannot bow or move him home.

Can the bowing ability from I Am Ready and the send home with the Imperial Favour affect Shiba Aikune XP3 who is alone in a battlefield?

The usage of the imperial favour to send an opposing attacking unit home is not a card effect as far as I'm aware. Is the ability granted to the player by I Am Ready still considered a card effect?
