A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Taking the discusion back to the original answer, I don't see how the effect that lets you take an aditional battle action is a delayed effect. The triggers of both Eastern Hub Port's trait and Gate Guardsman's reaction have both the timing "after a battle action resolves". When the trigger happens there's no "action of the same designator in progress".
If what I said is right, Eastern Hub Port's effect would be from a triggered trait and the other would be from a reaction, so EHP's extra battle action would go first according to the comprehensive rules on timing.
Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance.

Yes. You're missing the fact that the ruling you've linked to is out-dated and got reversed by the Rules Team Lead prior to Gen-Con 07.
