If determination is played for an action that dishonors a target. Can they rehonor that turn?
"When dishonorable Personalities are involved in gaining one or more points of Honor, the Honor gain is negated and they are rehonored (restored to honorable status)."
more specificly "(restored to honorable status)" this seems to imply that the dishonored status is Negated

No. Dishonorable Status is not an On-going Effect. It is a card state, typically caused by an Instantaneous Effect.
When personality is "restored to honorable status," his Card State changes as an Instantaneous Effect. Nothing is Negated.
