Control and Samurai trait.

L5R CCG Rules board, 4 October 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

I play Control on one of my unbowed samurai targetting another player bowed personality.

Control Dark Virtue Open: Target one of your unbowed Samurai: Target a Personality. He can not straighten while your Samurai remains unbowed and in play.

What's happening if my personality lose his samurai trait reagarding the ungoing effect of Control.

1. The trait is lost so the condition is no longer true and the opposing player personality is free to unbow.

2. The trait is lost but as my personality is still unbowed and in play the opposing player personality is still locked.

3. The trait is lost so my personality can now bow or leave play and the opposing player personality will still be locked.

Thanks

2. "Samurai" is just a reference to your required targeting so that there is less pronoun confusion.
