Naval and Zamalash

L5R CCG Rules board, 3 October 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Can multiple personalities perform a naval action if only one of the performing personalities is Naval?

If a Naval Ratling performs a printed Battle action during a naval invasion, can Zamalash copy, then perform that action if he does not have the Naval trait? Can he do so while at another battlefield?

Thank you.

http://rules.l5r.com/Glossary_N#Naval: "In cases where multiple cards perform an action, only one need be Naval."

If a Naval Ratling performs a printed Battle action during a naval invasion, can Zamalash copy, then perform that action if he does not have the Naval trait? Can he do so while at another battlefield?

It's a Reaction, so it only has to follow the rules for Reactions ( Reactions are not limited by Location or Presence, for instance), and whatever the text of the ability he's using is.
