If somebody HK's my guy, can I attach Kumade to save him or is it too late? Also, can the guy who's HKing then pay 4 more gold? In the same way can he bow an extra personality for Sake House Brawl (if Kumade does negate it)?

If any of an action's targeting becomes illegal at any point after all targeting and reactions to targeting occurs, the effects of the action still occur, subject only to interference with paying costs.
So the personality targeted will still bow, even if attaching Kumade will give him more force than the performing personality.
