Chi Reduction & Razor of the Dawn Castle

L5R CCG Rules board, 12 September 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Does this work the same for the negation of destruction effect from Razor of the Dawn Castle?

Example: I use the battle action on Kyuden Wasuremono to give a 2C Crab personality -2F/-2C with my 3C Scorpion Samurai. The other player chooses to negate the destruction until the end of turn with Razor of the Dawn Castle, our judge claims that the Crab lives as the destruction from having 0 Chi is delayed until end of turn(though he still sufferes the force and chi penalty), but everything I find seems to support the fact that the Samurai is then immediately killed for having 0 Chi again.

Thanks.

Razor of the Dawn Castle Before another player's card's effect destroys one of your Samurai: Once per turn, you may delay the destruction until the current turn ends.
