So...something that will never happen (except maybe at this crazy Enlightenment tournament I'm attending in November, but occurred to me anyway: Both my opponent and I have the Rings of Earth, Water, Void, and Air in play. First, I issue a challenge during battle with one of my Phoenix Clan personalities. My opponent focuses the Ring of Fire, I strike and lose. Now, I have resolved an action which destroyed my third Phoenix during battle, so I play the Ring of the Phoenix, yet he's won the duel so he can put the Ring of Fire into play. Has the game become an Enlightenment draw? Or is it one of those "active player decides" things?
Ring of Fire vs. Ring of the Phoenix
A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.
