Chagatai XP4, Heavenly Kobune of Suitengu and Doomed Intenti

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Right here's the scenario.

Chagatai XP4 has the Heavenly Kobune attached.

I declare an attack, assign Chagatai to Province A and resolve it. Chagatai moves home bowed at the end of the battle. I choose to resolve the battle at an undefended Province B and activate Chagatai's battle ability to move him in, then use the Heavenly Kobune's ability to move him home. Finally, I use Doomed Intentions to move Chagatai back in again and straighten.

Its a very convulated method of trying to straighten Chagatai at an undefended province and I'm wondering if whats done above is legal.

Doomed Intentions requires opposition to be able to move in and straighten. It also has no exception allowing Chagatai, who has already been in battle resolution once this turn, to move into an attacking army again, so any attempted movement will be negated.
