now that Samurai edition has been out for a bit, I would like to again ask a question: Daigotsu's SE card states he is both Shadowlands AND Spider, and that he is loyal. Does this mean he can be played in either deck or only in a Spider deck?

In Samurai Edition rules, Shadowlands is not a clan. Nothing can be Loyal to it.
