Blade of Guile: Revisited

L5R CCG Rules board, 28 July 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

PREPARE TO BEAT THE DEAD HORSE OF BITTER LIES!

Seriously though, I noticed something about the wording on Blade of Guile that might get it working the way I would really love it to work

"After this card attaches: Rehonor this Personality. This Personality has 0 Personal Honor, and can neither gain Personal Honor bonuses nor be dishonored."

The "nor be dishonored" part is what gets me thinking. It does not say "nor become Dishonored". By grammar rules, it should revert any dishonored personality to Honorable status if they should for any reason find it within their possession.

Any luck on this last-ditch attempt to make it awesome instead of just useful?
