A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Then could you please explain to me why I can't use this from a battlefield that is not the current battlefield to shoot a unit at the current battlefield and move to the current battlefield?

That's not the question that was asked.
The question was as to whether or not you can use the ability to target a Crane Clan Samurai at your Home and then move him into the Current Battlefield.
The answer is, "no," because "another battlefield" in this particular case implies that the Crane Clan Samurai you target must already be at a battlefield. You can't have "another battlefield" unless you have a first battlefield as a point of reference. In this case the point of reference is the Samurai's location.
Moving from one battlefield into the current battlefield is a valid use of Mountain's Shadow Dojo.
Moving from your Home to the current battlefield is not.
