so if shiba daizan is dead, can i use his ability to negate the shugenja's destruction in battles? i would like clarification on 'even if daizan is dead' part. the way i see daizan working is 'even if he is dead, he still can protect the shugenja from dying at any battlefield' just because he has that small but important part of 'even if Daizan is dead
Shiba Daizan Text Phoenix Clan • Samurai • Hero • Yojimbo Reaction: Before another player's action destroys one of your Shugenja in your home or at Daizan's battlefield, even if Daizan is dead, remove him from the game: Negate the Shugenja's destruction.

If Daizan is dead, he is not at a battlefield, and can only negate destructions in your home.
