supply outpost + wardens

L5R CCG Rules board, 4 July 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

if i pay for a personality with 2 PH or more with a supply outpost and i do not gain any honor for it. I have a wardens in my hand.

How do the trait of supply outpost and the reaction of wardens interacts? Are they on the same timer (trait vs reaction, which goes first?) could they be simultaneous (declaring one during the resolution of another)?

does it works? Is they're a way of declaring thing such that wardens would attach for three less gold and i still won the 2 honors?

text of supply outpost:

Bow this card: Produce 2 Gold. If this pays for a Personality, you may attach a Follower, Item or Spell to him from your hand after he enters in play, reducing its Gold cost by 3 until it attaches.

text of wardens:

Reaction: If this card is in your hand, after you bring a Personality into play without gaining Honor: You may attach this card to him (paying all costs). Gain 2 Honor.

ps: I am also quite surprised by the wording of wardens. Doesn't that means that you could pay all the cost (targeting a personality you just brought in play, etc...) declare the reaction and then decide when arriving at the "may" part of the effects to not attach the wardens finally and then gaining the 2 hoors anyway? Or are that prevented by the good faith rules?

Basically the same question is asked and answered here.
