Hida Dayu token generation

Hello.

My question is on the cards Hida Dayu and Castle Barracks/Fortified Camp.

Dayu reads: Pay 3 Gold: Create a 2F Follower card and attach it to one of your target Crab Clan Hero Personalities.

Castle Barracks read: If you are a Crab Clan player or the current battle is at your last Province: Target a Personality you control. Attach a Follower to him from your discard pile, ignoring costs if he is defending and opposed.

and....

Fortified Camp reads: After another player's action destroys a Follower, Item, or Spell you control: Once per turn, target the destroyed card and a Personality you control. Bring the card into play attached to the Personality, paying all costs.

What I am implying heres is that Dayu, unlike any other follower generator (like Farmlands), reads that it creates "cards". Do those followers remain cards after being destroyed, so I can react and use the ability of the Fortified Camp and Castle Barracks respectively?

Lotus Rulebook, page 46:

Tokens and created cards cannot exist except in play. They cannot be created in out-of-play locations. Any that leave play are removed from the game immediately afterwards.
