Allying Dishonored Personalities

L5R CCG Rules board, 12 June 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

A player, 12 June 2007

This is a general question I haven't been ale to find a direct answer to.

If an ally assigns a unit lead by a dishonored personality to a battle, does that player forego the 2 honor gained by committing an allying unit to re-Honor the personality? If he cannot, will it later prevent the allied leader from gaining honor if they win (or tie) the battle? (I don't think so, but .all sorts of weird stuff has changed since Pearl Edition...)

No. (It used to be otherwise, but not in Lotus Edition.)

(W)ill it later prevent the allied leader from gaining honor if they win (or tie) the battle?

No, you do not control them (Lotus rules, pg. 40).
