OK, me and a friend are actually playing out first game right now, him with Mantis and I with Crane. Anyway, this came up, and it's not in the rulebook.
Can you use a Battle: Ranged X Attack action as the defender? Silly me, I'm arguing you can't, since it is, y'know, an attack and all, but being stupid is better than being wrong.
