Hows is not losing the honor for being Spider Clan any different than a Shadowlands not loosing the honor for Oni no Akuma when he comes into play?
The Shadowlands Horde do not loose honor, plain and simple. Therefore, they can not loose Oni no Akuma's entering honor loss.
How is a Spider Player not loosing it because he became a Spider card (with the Porcelain Mask XP2) any different?

Spider Clan is not Shadowlands.
The way Shadowlands strongholds work was laid out over ten years ago, when the rules for L5R were much more loosey goosey (to use the technical term). That's why they've always had extensive explanations of how they're supposed to work, from the Anvil of Despair rulebook down through the Rules Archive in all its incarnations.
Spider Clan doesn't have that advantage. It's debuting at a time when there is a much more well defined set of rules.
