A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from the Wayback Machine (its copy), so posts it didn't save are missing. I'm not sure if it has been clarified for how the One Tribe ability works, since I can't find any ruling about it. I'd like to figure it out, though.
From how it's worded, the way I'm reading is that if I play a card from a discard pile, the card doesn't get removed from the game, since the stronghold says "after the first time they enter a discard pile", and since I'm playing it from the discard pile, it would not be going back to the discard pile for the first time.
So, if the way I'm reading it is correct, I can get some cards dumped into my discard pile via a number of ways and do things like:
- Play Soften the Resitance from the discard pile over and over again in a battle to discard my opponent's hand.
- Wait until Introspection is in my discard pile, then use the Voice to drop a Ring, then continuously react with Introspection to draw my deck into my hand, then discard it all at the end of my turn to give me that many more cards at my disposal when I need them appropriately.
- Wait until Feign Death is in my discard pile and then Written in Blood my Ratling Raider and reuse Feign Death on him a number of times and build it up a pile of Raider tokens.
If I happen to be reading this incorrectly, or it has been ruled differently, then I won't worry about any of this.

Jeff's explained before how it is supposed to work.
Once you've played a Fate card, remove it from the game the first time it goes to the Discard Pile.
So if you play an Action Card that immediately gets discarded, remove it from the game.
If you play a Follower Card, and it gets destroyed 3 turns later, remove it from the game.
People have suggested alternative wordings to the Warrens, but almost all of them created similar or worse instances of confusion.
Oh, and before anyone thinks to do it, this is not the forum to post such suggestions in.
