A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from the Wayback Machine (its copy), so posts it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.
How exactly do unexpected strie affect the following events ?
Price of Power or such (Goemon's ascencion ) : my guess is no effect at all (card is in play at home, no ongoing effect).
Shattered focus : stays in play at home, but while in play forces focusing. Is that an ongoing effect or not ?
Thanks for any answer.

Archive, General, Effects: Having something in play is not an ongoing effect. Such events stay in play.
