I'm sorry to post this, as I've already read a post from Marty stating a resolution on this, but I have a T.O. that refuses to listen to reason, stating he has an overturn from Zen.
Otaku's text:
Unicorn Clan Thunder. Disciple of the Kami. Battle Maiden. Samurai. Cavalry. Experienced 7. Unique. Loyal May overlay any Unicorn Clan Samurai you control. Otaku has +3F while attacking. Reaction: After a card you control in the current battle is destroyed, bowed, or moved home by a card another player owns: Once per battle, target a card opposing Otaku. Apply the same effect to it.
If someone were to target Otaku with an effect which bows or destroys Otaku, can she use her react? The way I (and Marty) read it is since the timing for the Reaction is after bowing/destruction, and cards which are bowed or in the discard pile can't use abilities printed on them, no.

Are you implying that I'm unreasonable?

No.
And I just went searching for any Otaku related posts from me on this forum and a few other places besides, because I don't remember saying anything along what is claimed. Didn't find any. I would be very curious to know when and where I said this.
