LEGACY Matsu Yoshino (or White Shore Plain) + Kenson Gakka vs Matsu Yoshino (or WHite Shore Plain) + Akodo Sensei

L5R CCG Rules board, 4 August 2015

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

I would like to confirm the interaction of these cards:

Card Title Matsu Yoshino Force/Chi 3 3 HR/GC/PH 4 7 2 Keywords Lion Clan • Samurai • Tactician • Scout • Unique Text Tactical Battle: Target any number of Tacticians at Yoshino's location. Give them each +3F.

Card Title White Shore Plain Gold Cost 0 Keywords Terrain Text While at the current battlefield, each of your Tacticians has the ability, "Tactical Reaction: Before this battle's resolution: Give this Tactician a Force bonus equal to his Chi." Battle: If there are no Terrains at the current battlefield: Put this card into play there.

Card Title Kenson Gakka PS/GP/SH 7 3 6 Text Terrains you own in and out of play have a minimum Focus Value of 3. Your non-Tactician Lion Clan Samurai with 3 or higher Chi have Tactician while in armies and have their new Force bonuses from the Rulebook Tactical Advantage action and Tactical actions negated.

Card Title Akodo Sensei PS/GP/SH +0 +0 +0 Keywords Crane Clan • Dragon Clan • Lion Clan Text Your dishonorable Personalities have a maximum Force of 0. Your Samurai with 3 or higher Chi without the Tactician keyword have Tactician, but may not perform Tactical actions that give themselves Force bonuses or the Tactical Advantage rulebook ability.

1) Kenson Gakka's simulated tacticians will have the 3f bonus from Yoshino's Tactical ability negated. 2) Akodo Sensei's simulated tacticians will gain the 3f bonus from Yoshino's Tactical ability. 3) White Shore Plain's force bonus will not work on simulated tacticians from both Kenson Gakka and Akodo Sensei: Kenson Gakka will negate the bonus while Akodo Sensei will not let its tacticians take the terrain's reaction at all.

Correct.
