Stepping Behind The Tapestry questions

L5R CCG Rules board, 17 June 2015 to 19 June 2015

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Hi,

Stepping Behind The Tapestry:

Text: This Personality cannot be targeted. His abilities, and the abilities on his other attachments, cannot be used. Cards in this unit do not contribute Force during battle resolution unless they are Air. Air Battle/Open: Destroy this Spell.

How works the tapestry against standing fast. Can we target the shugenja unit, or not?

What cards contribute force? For example items or spells?

Thanks a lot!

Targeting a unit targets the Personality, so Standing Fast cannot not target a Shugenja with Stepping Behind the Tapestry attached.

Spells and Items do not "contribute force": they modify the force of the Personality they are attached to, who will contribute force if he or she is Air (and unbowed, etc), together with his Air Followers such as Asahina House Guard - there are none in Ivory Edition or Twenty Festivals, however.
