How does this work exactly? do they re honor or stay dishonored? do they regain honor or lose honor from doing so?
proclaiming dishonorably dead people with phoenix stronghold
A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

The rehonoring happens when the honor gain would happen. This is after the Personality is recruited. Therefore they will be Recruited, entering play while they have a 0 personal honor (you can Proclaim them, but will gain 0), and then the 1 honor gain from the stronghold will be negated and they will be rehonored.
