New Player - Question about a personality card leaving play

L5R CCG Rules board, 26 April 2015 to 1 May 2015

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

A player, 26 April 2015

Isawa Shunryu has the following action listed on her card:

void home battle Give all your opposed Samurai +1F, or all enemy Personalities -1F.

If she is killed after she acts to give either her opposed Samurai the bonus or the enemy personalities the penalty is her bonus/penalty still considered to be in play or does it leave play with her?

We're still trying to get a handle on things and this came up and no one was really certain and depending the entire battle hinged on the answer to that question.

Thanks!

Edit: Since this is a home keyword action if she uses this ability from home does it impact all battlefields or does she pick one battlefield?

The ability creates an instantaneous effect, and it will remain until the end of the turn even if Shunryu leaves play.

EDIT: This will apply to all Personalities in units controlled by the enemy's controller, no matter their location.
