Taketori and Bowing Due to Paying a Cost

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

A player, 3 April 2015

Hello,

My army includes a Tactician with Taketori attached. My opponent plays an action, and I bow my Tactician to pay the cost for The Sun Returns to cancel the action. May I bow Taketori to straighten my Tactician, because the bowing was required by The Sun Returns?

Relevant text:

Taketori Battle, (bow): If your card bowed this Personality this battle, straighten him.

Thank you for your time.

Yes, you may. Your card (The Sun Returns) bowed him, so Taketori will straighten him.
