Technical errata to Seppun Tasuke (TNO)

L5R CCG Rules board, 16 February 2015

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Effective immediately, the ability of the Sensei card Seppun Tasuke (The New Order) reads:

"Open, Name a number and target another player. After each time his (non-Focused) card with that Focus Value is discarded (not focused) from hand, gain an Affection token."

This change restricts Tasuke's triggered effect to cards discarded directly from the hand, rather than from focusing or resolution areas, or fromother areas such as Provinces. This accompanies a clearer definition of when "discard a card" means "discard a card from your hand" in the Comprehensive Rules, and ensures that this card only works as intended by Design.
