Interrupt the Void's Flow and Pack Tactics or Ninube Shiho

L5R CCG Rules board, 8 January 2015 to 9 January 2015

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Void Interrupt: Negate a Battle action. Destroy this Spell. Remove the caster's unit from the game, keeping all attachments and tokens, and ignoring leaving-play effects. Return it to play before the turn ends, ignoring entering-play costs and effects.

Battle: Bow two of your target unbowed Personalities and target an enemy Personality. Bow his unit.

Ninja Battle: Put Shiho on top of your Dynasty deck (face-down). Put all cards without attachments in a target enemy Personality's unit on the bottom of their appropriate deck.

The time has come for me to ask another question about my favourite spell: I have the spell attached to a shugenja in my army.

My opponent has an opportunity to play a battle action, and they choose to play either Pack Tactics or Ninube Shiho's ability.

Now I choose to interrupt with the spell, negating the battle action. My spellcaster is removed from the game until the end of the turn.

But does anything happen to my opponent's units? Eg: does he have to now bow 2 personalities if he played Pack Tactics (and does he have to discard the card?), or does he have to put Shiho on top of his Dynasty deck if he used Shiho's ability?

Or does he not have to? And who has the next chance to take a battle action? I think I would, but just asking to make sure.

It negates all effects of the action, which includes bowing two Personalities (Pack Tactics) or putting Shiho on top of your deck. You would however get the next opportunity to act.
