Ring of Earth vs unnegatable actions

Going on 2 months of neither of these questions being answered, for those of us who like playing non Ivory, any idea of when we can expect an answer.

And as a follow up, when using determination on an action, can you interrupt with ring of earth to negate the movement on that, or will determination trump Ring of Earth?
