Will Kalani's Landing produce gold to pay for the equip action?
Kalani's Landing and equip [Legacy]
A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.
Will Kalani's Landing produce gold to pay for the equip action?
It will not. The Equip action is only used for bringing attachments in to play, so you are paying for them.
I will check with the rest of the Rules Team, and see if there is a slightly better Oracle wording for Kalani's Landing that gels slightly better with the Ivory Edition templating, but regardless, they trait will not produce Gold for an Equip action/procedure as written.
