In the case of Akodo Dojo, at no point in time are you "Paying for a Follower". You are paying a gold cost, then attaching a follower. I know a similar effect occurs with Bookkeeper and Vast Paddy Fields, but it was ruled in those cases that their traits created delayed effects that resolved after the Holding / Farm are chosen in the Recruit action. What I am looking for is a description of how the mechanics / timing of these cards work. Do they create delayed effects? When are they triggered? At what point in the scheduled I gave in the last posting.
