A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

I know this is kind of a silly question but what are Ring cards?
At first I thought that Rings cards are cards with the Ring keyword. But none of the cards have "Ring" as a keyword. Looking in the comp rules, it refers to Ring cards and has a Ring card section but that section doesn't explain how you identify a Ring card like it does with Followers, Items, and Spells. So I can only assume that Rings Cards are card with "Ring of" in the title.

Ring is a card type; in general, it can be identified by its border. You can search for "Ring" as a card type in Oracle - there are 18 such cards, 17 with "Ring of" in the title.
