Way of the Unicorn

L5R CCG Rules board, 3 June 2014 to 5 June 2014

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

A player, 3 June 2014

Battle: Target your Personality, who may be at home. Move him home or, if his unit is Cavalry and he would be opposed, move him to the current battlefield.

I am assuming that this allows movement between home and the current battlefield. I think it does not allow movement from another battlefield to the current one. Please could you confirm if this is correct? I think this based on a comparison with the Unicorn Stronghold which specifies a cavalry unit at any location, not just home:

Battle/Engage: If he would be opposed, move to the current battlefield your target unbowed Personality in a Cavalry unit at any location.

This is correct. Way of the Unicorn will not allow you to move between battlefields.
