Multiple Reprisal + Advance Warning

L5R CCG Rules board, 19 May 2014

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Ok the first one came up in a game and just want to confirm that it was legit:

I am defending away from an attacking horde that takes my province. 4 on their side 3 on mine. At my battle I play 2x reprisal on my 4 force unit making it 6 force. On my first reprisal attack I play Advance warning and lower the province strength by 6. On my second I assign the same unit to the same province. I take the province.

My opponent really wants to confirm if that was totaly legal. (He really wants it to be)

I guess the real quesiton is what is the duration of the lowered province strenght for advance warning.

The default duration for any effect without another one stated is "end of turn". So, enjoy that lowered PS through both Reprisal attacks!
