Guardian of the Rift Repeatable Battle/Open, bow: Remove a target Ancestor attachment from the game. When the turn ends, return it to play attached to its previous Personality if he is still in play, ignoring costs and entering-play effects; if he is not, discard the Ancestor.
and
Shosuro Infiltrator (relevant text only) Battle: If this card is attached to a Scorpion Clan Personality, discard it: Create a 3F/1C/0PH Scorpion Clan • Samurai Personality card in this army. After the battle ends, remove the created Personality from the game, then return this card to play attached to this Personality.
Do the Ancestor/Follower come back unbowed?
What if, say, it removed the entire unit, like The Masters Imprisoned, but never mentioned anything about 'preserving bowed status'?
I mean, the cards are out-of-play in an area that has no orientation, right? And since the normal orientation of a card being brought into play is unbowed (except holdings), they would (re-)enter play like that; is my assupmtion correct?

As stated on p22 of the Comprehensive Rules: Cards, other than Holdings, enter play in the unbowed state.
