Reactions, presence

L5R CCG Rules board, 1 May 2014

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Little rusty as I have not played much recently.

Can reactions be taken without presence?

Specifically say my unopposed army wishes to harpoon an enemy personality(say with the ancestral lion armor) can my opponent use the reaction on Ring of Earth to stop it?

Thanks again!

Ahem, Reactions?

Specifically say my unopposed army wishes to harpoon an enemy personality(say with the ancestral lion armor) can my opponent use the reaction on Ring of Earth to stop it?

Those are Interrupts, not Reactions.

Reactions (in Legacy / Big Deck / etc) could be taken without Presence. But for Interrupts you need both to fulfill both rules of Presence and Location
