Shadowed Estate of the Scorpion

L5R CCG Rules board, 23 April 2014

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

I have a follow up question to this.

If a Bayushi Shizuka targets say Bayushi JoeBob, and Bayushi JoeBob's controller then names Bayushi JoeBob with Shadowed Estate. Then uses an ability on Bayushi JoeBob, will the Shadowed Estates negation prevent the Shizuka delayed effect from going off?

If it does will that use it up, or leave it there waiting for the next trigger?

No. Actions still "resolve" when they are taken, even if all their effects are negated. So, negating a Personality's action's effects won't protect that Personality from Shizuka's delayed effect.
