False Ring of Fire again

L5R CCG Rules board, 4 April 2014 to 22 April 2014

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Regarding this post.

Now the comprehensive rules are live and the exception to using out-of-play interrupts is printed (page 25):

EXCEPTION: Interrupt abilities on a card out of play may be taken if they Interrupt the action that brings the card into play. In this case, if the action has a “bow this card” cost, it is satisfied by bowing the card after it enters play, as a delayed effect.

Is there any reason why the False Ring of Fire isn't able to interrupt its open action that puts it into play?

There is no reason why the False Ring of Fire cannot Interrupt it's own Open ability to reduce the honor loss.
