Ring of Water & Ring of Fire

L5R CCG Rules board, 2 April 2014

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Say I played a Terrain and destroyed a Terrain and I activate Ring of Fire in a battle. Resolution segment begins and I lose the battle triggering the destruction of a card because of Ring of Fire. Would I then be able to play Ring of Water?

As far as I can tell Ring of Water only cares about if a card was during Resolution Segment which I think is a different timing than "after a battle resolves".

Ring of Fire does not destroy a card "during resolution", so no, it will not allow you to play Ring of Water in the manner described.
