A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Another question that came up recently in one of my games. If myself or my opponent use Changing the Game to search for Blood of the Preserver, but choose not to remove it from the game, does it get added to our hand or reshuffled into our fate deck? The card does not specifically say to add it to your hand, so we were a bit confused.
Changing the Game Limited: Search your hand, then your discard pile, and then your Fate deck for a card titled Blood of the Preserver. Show it. Remove it from the game to gain 2 Honor.
Thank you in advance.

There is no choice offered; it doesn't say "you may" before "Remove it", so if you find it, you must do so.
