If I play Holding Cells on my opponent, and he interrupts with Investigation, and I interrupt my own action with The Sun Returns, do I still target my opponent's personality and lose 5 honor from Investigation, or has my targeting been negated by The Sun Returns?
Although they now occur during the action's resolution and are integrated within the effects, targeting itself is still not an effect. Negating the action's effects won't change the fact that you must carry on with the targets.
