Secluded Outpost Continued

L5R CCG Rules board, 5 March 2014

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Secluded Outpost actually interrupts its bowing, not a later attachment.

How?

Interrupts are announced during another action—either yours or another player’s—at the point after costs are paid and before the action’s effects start to resolve

Since bowing the holding for gold isn't an action, how can you interrupt it?

Referenced actions in an Interrupt refer to the interrupted action, therefore the bowing of the Outpost must have been to pay for the referenced Recruit in order to take the Interrupt action in Good Faith.

Which indicates that Secluded Outpost is interrupting the Recruitment.

Or am I missing a nuance here?

No, you're right. I left out a few words in that sentence - it Interrupts the Recruit action, but it must be the Recruit action during which you bowed it. I'll update the original answer.
