A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

This is probably a silly question because after discussing it with a friend it seems pretty clear but I thought I would seek certainty.
Justice of the Crane: This Personality has Magistrate. Battle: Dishonor a target enemy Personality. If this Personality has the printed Magistrate keyword, you may take an additional action.
Is it the dishonored target that has to have Magistrate to take the additional action? or... is it my person with JotC attached and the item's bestowing of the Magistrate keyword doesn't grant an additional action because it's not 'Printed' on the card.

The personality with Justice of the Crane needs the printed Magistrate trait.
In this case, "this Personality" refers to the one with the weapon attached.
