Having a bit of an argument that needs settling.
The situation is I used the Reserve Battle Action to bring Tsuruchi Gosho into play, paying with Secluded Outpost, and attached a Expert Archers to him. I also use Gosho's interrupt to create a Range 3.
My view of the situation is that the Gosho's interrupt creates a delayed effect that creates a whole other action (Announce, Pay costs, interrupt, resolve) so I can interrupt the Range 3 to combine the Range 3 from my follower.
The opposing view is that the Range 3 is just an interrupt, not another action. There is no window to interrupt an interrupt so it is impossible to use the combine interrupt or any interrupt(like turtle shell) against Gosho's Range 3.
Is one of us right or is there some third explanation for how Gosho's interrupt resolves?

The second explanation is correct. You cannot Interrupt an Interrupt (advanced rules, page 11); therefore, there is no window to Interrupt Gosho's action - preventing Turtle's Shell, Unholy Strike, and combining Ranged Attacks.
