Can I play Lost Equipment in a battle where I have no units present? I don't think so, but some of my playgroup say that until Ivory is legal, all Engage actions are to be treated like Reactions upon engaging (like Sneak Attack and the like) and thus, they don't require Presence.
Relevant text:
Lost Equipment Engage: Bow a target enemy attachment.
Another one, slightly easier: I have a bowed Kensai with two unbowed weapons. I know that I can't use my Kensai's printed abilities, but can I use the Weapons' abilities, if none of them requires to bow the Kensai, or that he is unbowed?

1. Engage actions do require presence, unlike reactions. You can point your playgroup here if they question you.
2. Yes, unless something else prevents it, you may use abilities on unbowed weapons attached to a bowed Kensai.
