A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Am I correct to think that I can use The Lost Colossus to perform a political action, as long as he's not targeted by it? For example, can he perform Games of Sincerity, or if given +1 PH, could he lobby for the favor?
On an even more nit-picking matter, on the Oracle Watersteel Sword's ability reads "Copy an ability on it that does not itself copy ability, to this Weapon". Shouldn't that be "that doesn't itself copy abilities" or "that doesn't have a copying ability" to make more sense? Obviously there's no confusion to what the card does, but it just sounds wrong to my non-native speaker ear.

Well, that's one of the issues that changes of the size of those we're undertaking with Ivory Edition inevitably arise. Since in EE performing is chosen and not targeted, yes, The Lost Colossus can do it. Of course, once IvE hits, his trait will instantly work as intended
Watersteel Sword's wording seems to have a typo, I'll kick it upwards.
