Hello again!
I'm having a hard time understanding this card's action. It reads as thus;
"Battle: Even if Jouta is dead, choose your performing Shugenja, who may be at any location unless Jouta is dead: Ranged 5 Attack."
The way I read it, Jouta can be anywhere(Home or a different Battlefield) and a Shugenja can still perform the ranged 5 attack whilst he is not present, correct? How is this any different then when he is dead? I guess I'm not clear on where this action can be performed from(both alive and dead).
Thanks!

The Rule of Location says that Jouta must be at the current battlefield in order to perform his own action. If Jouta is alive and at the battlefield, the shugenja may be anywhere, per the text.
Once Jouta is dead, he's no longer in a unit so the Rule of Location doesn't apply, but now the shugenja is bound by the Rule of Location to be at the current battlefield.

I got a little confused by this here. But maybe I'm misreading it.
I though Jouta's ability allowed him to be at one battlefield while the shugenja could be anywhere (like at home or another battlefield) and do the ranged attack and not the other way around.
example: I'm attacking with Jouta at battlefield A and Shiba Bob is at battlefield B. I choose to use Jouta's ability having Shiba Bob do a range attack at battlefield A (Jouta's battle). And if Jouta is dead then Shiba Bob can only perform the attack at Bob's battle.
The impression I got from the above ruling is: I'm attacking with Jouta at battlefield A and Shiba Bob is at battlefield B. I choose to use Jouta's ability having Shiba Bob do a range attack at battlefield B (Shiba Bob's battle). And if Jouta is dead then Shiba Bob can still only perform the attack at Bob's battle.
Which is correct?

It does, you're right, I mentally flipped Jouta on answering that. Original answer corrected
