The Madness Spreads vs. Norikazu/Yokuni Senseis

L5R CCG Rules board, 24 July 2013

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

May be a bit premature, but... how are post-CoM events supposed to work with/against Norikazu and Yokuni Senseis?

In other words, what constitutes a (new) event "resolving"? Is it when you use its provided ability?

If so, Yokuni would work as "normal" (new event stays in province for a turn after you use its ability). What about Norikazu?

Imagine you flip The Madness Spreads (and Norikazu Sensei is in play). I suppose the event stays in the province, unusable, until you choose to either discard it in your Dynasty phase or use something like Forgotten Lesson on Norikazu (upon which I suppose the Limited action on The Madness Spreads could be taken). Is this correct?

It is a bit premature indeed, but I think it would be safe to assume that "an Event resolving" would be synonimous with "an action from an Event resolving".
