Riot in the Second City

L5R CCG Rules board, 13 May 2013 to 26 May 2013

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Riot in the Second City http://imperialassembly.com/oracle/#cardid=10422 Could you please clarify to me the effect of this events Limited Action:

Does the active player choose first?

If so what is the sequence: Option 1: I target an unbowed samurai and bow them then U target an unbowed samurai and bow them

Option 2: I target an unbowed samurai U target an unbowed samurai All targets now bow

And last but not least, is targeting mandatory? So is there a minimum number of Samurai in play to activate the Action?

We can't answer Coils of Madness questions yet. Please wait until the announcement post is removed. This standard policy is even more important at CoM due to the high number of changes and new mechanics being introduced. Once we're ready to answer them, we'll take the post down.

Could you please now answer this: viewtopic.php?f=59&t=103273

The second question seems to be irrelevant before Ivory (as this might change then)...

Remember that, for the remainder of Emperor Edition, Events are still mandatory and have traits, not abilities. Therefore, there isn't a "minimum" of targets, it will resolve and its effects be applied as possible. Also, remember that a player is only required to fulfil his mandatory targets, not his opponent's.

Active player chooses first.

Sorry for bothering you a third time in regards to this: viewtopic.php?p=1362166#p1362166

Is it target, target, bow, bow, or target, bow, target, bow? Which means, can my opponent choose the same person? So, if I have no samurai and my opponent has two, will both of them have to bow?

Target, bow, target, bow.
