When my opponent uses the Battle action from Hard Pressed to put it into play, if I use the Pearl-Encrusted Staff of the Cobras xp's reaction, will the subsequent Hard Pressed movement triggered just before battle resolution be negated?

Hard Pressed: Terrain Text

Before this battle's resolution: Move a unit home from the current battlefield. You may bow it. Battle: If there are no Terrains at the current battlefield: Put this card into play there.

The Pearl-Encrusted Staff of the Cobras xp:

Experienced Pearl-Encrusted Staff • Pearl • Unique Will only attach to a Spider Clan or Naga Personality. Reaction: Before a Battle action resolves, target a Personality: Negate his movement from the action's effects.

Hard Pressed's action doesn't have movement as one of its effects; that effect is on the Terrain's trait. The Staff will only negate movement from actions, not from traits, so Hard Pressed (as most terrains) will be able to bypass most negation effects. This is intentional, in order to compensate the Terrains' built-in restrictions.
